Processing of almost all types of cables
The Cable Granulating and Separating Plant EUREA 30 is a effectiv unit for the recovery of copper from all types of household cable and other small wires. Maximum diameter of the cables should not exceed 30mm. The cable should be free of iron, because there is no magnetic separation included. Restrictions are steel armoured and steel containing cable, as well as greasy cable, because they cause a higher amount of maintenance. In order to achieve a high quality of the copper granules, the cables should be sorted properly beforehand, as it is not possible to separate different metals.
The “Eureka 30” plant is user friendly, easy to operate and to maintain and is characterized by its great
cost/performance ratio. The high value of the extracted copper granules guarantees a fast amortisation of the plant.
Powerful components put together in one powerful unit
The main components of the cable granulation and separation plant EUREKA 30 are
- granulator
- pneumatic conveyer equipment
- dry separating table.
The plant works in the following mode of operation:
Granulator
The granulator cuts and dismantles the cable, which can
be fed in directly in pieces of 500 to 1000 mm length or
in rings of 500 mm diameter.
Pneumatic conveyer equipment
After milling, the granules are transported to the
separation unit by a pneumatic conveyer system.
Dry separation
The separation takes place on a vibrating dry separating
table. An adjustable air stream is directed onto a screen,
where the light (plastic) fraction is lifted and falls down
the vibrating surface. The heavy (copper) parts remain
lying on the surface of the screen and move upwards.
The separation of solid copper is carried out with high
purity. If cables are presorted properly, you can easily
achieve grade A copper granules.
