The RMS 2000 is an optical, mobile 3D measuring system. RMS stands for remote Measuring system. The system consists of 2 to 8 theodolites, a connecting system and a PC with printer or Plotter.Die computations with the software MESCAL is implemented. Function mode: The computer learns over a calibration procedure the accurate position each individual theodolites in the area. Further it takes up the angles of traverse, etc. After the calibration each measuring point with two theodolites must be angezielt. Each theodolite conveys two angles to the computer: one in purchase to its horizontal plane and one in purchase to its vertical level. The computer and/or MESCAL computes the space coordinates of the measuring points from the developed angles. Therefore the RMS has 2000 practically no measuring volume borders. Ranges of application: - everywhere, where contactless measuring necessarily actual everywhere, where workpieces cannot be measured with a coordinate measuring machine (due to of size or management) the accuracy become as yardstick between measured length and the expected measurement inaccuracy indicated. This yardstick is 1: 100000 with an normalexperienced user. That is called 0.1 mm with a measuring length of 10 m is the measurement inaccuracy. The connecting system consists of an Multichannel interface, a multiplexer and a 1,5m cable between interfaces and multiplexers. In addition a 50m long multiplex line cable and 1.5 m a long cable is necessary, for the connection with the communication unit for each theodolite. The communication unit provides for a stable connection with large distances. Measuring accuracy: Yardstick 1: 100,000 software: MESCAL (PTB certified) tracer: optically
