Funcion description:
The veneer is fed to the glue discs and the cut edges of the veneer are covered with PVAC glue. A blower heater is behind the glue station. Hot air is blown from this area onto the veneer edges out of many small nozzles. The hot air dries and activates the glue. The veneer with the glue covered edges are then joined in the splicer. Then the veneers are joined together with the aid of the discs, which rotate opposite to one another, and with pressure rolls. For an extra intensive gluing of the veneer sheets a glue thread can also be applied.
