The filter bed is filled with approximately 30 m³ of durable, longitudinally-shredded root wood, offering high shape stability and low compaction. The biofilter system complies with VDI guideline 3477 and ATV leaflet 204 and achieves high purification performance (including up to 97% odor reduction, 98% H₂S, and 97% NH₃ at design conditions).
