The volume is significantly reduced, and the briquettes are separated from the coolant lubricants (emulsion, oil) absorbed during earlier machining processes. The system consists of a feed hopper for loading the material to be processed and a shredder inside the hopper, which reduces chip length. A conveyor system moves the shredded chips continuously and stepwise via a conveyor belt into the chip press hopper. There, two augers feed the material into the compaction chamber.
