Voortman VB 1050 Horizontal Band Saw
Voortman VB 1050 CNC miter band saw with a length measurement system and a comprehensive transport system for processing structural steel sections.

The used Voortman VB 1050 horizontal band saw is a high-performance CNC-controlled miter band saw for the precise and cost-effective machining of large steel sections in the steel construction and steel trading industries.

This robust band saw is suitable for profile widths ranging from 60 to 1,050 mm and profile heights from 10 to 450 mm. With its infinitely variable, CNC-controlled miter adjustment to the left and right up to ±60°, it enables flexible straight and miter cuts on steel beams and various profile cross-sections.

Technical Features and Equipment

A key design feature of the Voortman VB 1050 is the movable saw table, which moves in sync with the saw blade’s position. This prevents the saw blade from colliding with the table structure during miter cuts. If necessary, the table lowers automatically to ensure unobstructed material transport.

The machine is equipped with a Beckhoff CNC control system that allows the desired cutting angles to be programmed and precisely positioned. The robust machine design and the saw blade dimensions of 9,550 × 54 × 1.6 mm enable reliable machining even of large-dimension steel profiles.

The equipment includes a length measurement system with a movable measuring carriage and a stop plate on the discharge side. With a maximum measuring length of 19,200 mm, the system is particularly well-suited for machining long steel beams.
